SUMMARY:Animals in Winter
DESCRIPTION:Animals in Winter How do our New England animal friends survive
  the winter? From the smallest chickadee to the largest black bear\, every
 one is dealing with winter differently! Even we as people adapt ourselves 
 to the winter weather …we are just like animals! This program animates t
 he concepts of hibernation\, adaptation\, and migration with a funny and i
 nformational puppet show which showcases some of our common New England an
 imals and how they survive the winter. A hike outside to explore the nearb
 y habitats is a good way to hunt for signs and clues of what our Beaver Br
 ook animals have been up to with their preparations for the upcoming cold 
 weather.
  
 Our program will be for students in grades K-6. It is sche
 duled for 1-2:30 pm on Feb 16th at the Maple Hill Farm location (117 Ridge
  Rd\, Hollis NH). We are welcome to come early for a picnic lunch\, or to 
 stay late for snacks. The program will be held in rain\, snow or shine and
  will include a short puppet show followed by a short hike and exploration
  time. Masks are not required outside but are anywhere inside. They specif
 ied that neck gaiters and masks with exhalation valves are not allowed. Th
 ere is a Nature Play Area (outside) for younger siblings to enjoy during t
 he program.
  
 We only have space for 20 registrants\, so please only 
 register your children ages K-6th that are participating in the program.
