 A visit to the New Hampshire Historical 
 Society\, located at 30 Park Street in Concord\, is a great way to reinfor
 ce student learning in a stimulating environment. Upon entering the monume
 ntal rotunda of the Society's historic 1911 building\, students will see i
 conic objects and images of New Hampshire's history\, including the origin
 al eagle that once sat atop the state capitol\, portraits of royal governo
 rs\, and a rare Revolutionary War flag of the Second New Hampshire Regimen
 t. In the exhibition Discovering New Hampshire\, on view in the second-flo
 or gallery\, students will learn about people\, places\, and events in New
  Hampshire history through a rich assortment of museum objects and archiva
 l materials from the Society's collections.   In a hands-on activity\, he
 ld in the Society's auditorium\, students will use artifacts to delve into
  how everyday life in New Hampshire has change over time.
 This event inc
 ludes a tour and educational / fun activity.
 There is road side parking 
 only.  Please arrive early and bring money for the parking meters.  The 
 meters accept nickels\, dimes and quarters.  The average cost of the mete
 rs for 2 hours is 2 dollars.
