SUMMARY:Pond Discovery
DESCRIPTION:Go for a walk to our very own pond and scoop to see what kinds 
 of critters live here. Through scientific discovery we’ll learn about we
 tlands in NH and find out how to identify a variety of insects\, reptiles\
 , amphibians\, fish\, and birds.
 We will explore various seasonal chang
 es including:
 
 macroinvertebrate and amphibian identification and how 
 that relates to water health
 how different organisms are present based o
 n things like water temperature\, water level\, and whether the water is s
 till or moving
 plant matter\, and how it provides shelter and food
 pH\
 , nitrogen\, and phosphorus\, as additional factors involved in making a h
 ealthy pond
 
 Registration is only for the students participating in th
 e Pond Discovery program. There is no charge for parents or younger siblin
 gs tagging along. This field trip is recommended for the students of our N
 ature Study co-op class.
 The first 25 spots are taken\, but we can open
  up 10 more if there is interest. So please sign up on the waiting list.
